Schedule

Saturday February 23rd / 10 pm. CaixaForum

DURATIO: 58 min

The Canadians Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski, founders of the Clyde and Henry studio and independent creators with their own hallmark, are internationally renowned for their award-winning stop motion short Madame Tutli-Putli (NFB, 2007, nominated for the Oscar® awards of the Hollywood Academy and awarded in the Cannes and Annecy festivals), for the art direction in Guy Maddin’s film The Forbidden Room and for Higglety-Pigglety Pop!, produced by Spike Jonze.

This year they come to Animac to talk about the importance of "sound symbolism" to the medium of stop motion animation and as pioneers of virtual reality in stop motion, with an emphasis on their film Madame Tutli-Putli and other titles of their cinematography, in which they combine real image with a taste for other arts such as music and dance.
